Kelley Apanowicz

KELLEY APANOWICZ - Hometown - Carlsbad, California

About: Kelley started skating at the YMCA in Encinitas, CA at the age of 5 with a stellar bunch of mentors. Thanks to his mom, Courtney, for making sure he got to try many different sports and activities. He loved going fast and getting air (even if it was with an early grab)! 

By age 8 Kelley had entered his first Bowl and Mini Ramp contests (CASL, SoCalSkateSeries, and MiniRippers) and started skating as many different skateparks as possible (shout out to Andre for showing him all the local parks and rippers). In October of 2021 Kelley and his brother Ash met Robin Logan at a contest in Lake Elsinore and by January Kelley was riding for Logan Earth Ski and got introduced to La Costa Racing Team. He took to slalom skateboarding fast and added a Sk8Kings Richy Carrasco Brown Bomber to his quiver immediately. 

Kelley likes to skate EVERYTHING, from freestyle to vert, and slalom to street, it's all fun, especially pump tracks and skatercross. And skate EVERYTHING means different kinds of boards too: old boards, longboards, pool decks, electric skateboards, 2x4's, Legos, street boards, SK8KINGS slalom boards, and anything Logan Earth Ski (especially his Bruce Logan solid oak board from the 70's with Tracker Trucks). Kelley soon started riding for Tracker Trucks after meeting Lance Smith and Larry Balma (just 2 of the many legends of skateboarding Robin Logan has introduced Kelley to). 

Now Kelley is stoked and very thankful for the opportunity to also ride for SK8Kings, especially since Richy has been giving him skateboarding and life tips for the past couple years.
