About: My name is Paul Chestnut and I'm 56 currently living in Huntington Beach, originally from Fremont, California.
I started skateboarding at the age of 6 and the first skateboard I had used steel wheels. I started off skating in skate parks after the first urethane wheels were made in 1977-1978.
I used to make ramps too as a kid up until 16. I was featured on the local news tv show called Evening Magazine.
I continued skateboarding after skateparks closed in the 80's. I took a pause and started skating again in my 40's. I started slalom racing in 2012. In 2016 I traveled to Egypt to teach skating locally. Then I enjoyed it so I did it the next year in 2017.
By 2018 I was placed in my first European World Slalom Championship. In 2019 I won my first World Slalom Championship in the open class.
In 2021 I won the banked slalom race in Las Vegas, Nevada's "Mecca Ditch Race."
As of 2023 I qualified to be on the US National Skateboard Slalom Team to compete in the World Skate Games in Rome, Italy.
